So I am heading into Tulsa, OK for about a week to get an upgrade on my knowledge of my job. Because of this change in location I won't have a post for you either today, MONDAY, or Friday. That is not a guarantee, I might have some free time during this training week to compose another post but I'm not making promises.
Anyway, I am being transfered to the TEXAS division and I will get to be closer to my manthing. Yes I said Manthing, because saying he is my boyfriend doesn't properly describe the relationship. There isn't a single word to describe it besides "together". Which is debatable since I have been in Oklahoma for 7 months and he has been in Texas.
Anyway I'll get up something for next Monday for sure. <3

Bad Teacher, Bad movie...
I was heavily disappointed after watching Bad Teacher with Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel. I am a fan of both Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel. So to see them playing opposite in the film was an excitement. Granted the film would have been funnier in a room full of other people.
I watched both the Theatrical version and the unrated, I didn't realy see how some of those scenes that were cut were cut. There are two scenes different from one to the other. And I found neither of them offensive. I should have prefaced that with the fact that I get offended easily.
Anyway the basic gist is Cameron Diaz is this teacher, a terrible one. Doesn't care about anyone but herself, her fiancée discovers that she is a Gold-digger and dumps her. So as a result she returns to teaching where she continues her usual shenanigans with the new goal of a boob job. Of which the local gym teacher, Jason Segal, thinks is not necessary, she shoots him down and continues on. Hoping that the new boobs give her an edge in hooking a new stupid rich guy, cue Justin Timberlake. The dumb rich guy. Diaz continues the movie trying to weasel her way into a relationship with him but he falls for another teacher.
I liked the concept and the interaction between Diaz and Segel but hated the rest of the film. I'm not a spoiler fan so I'm not telling you if she get's Timberlake, or if Segel wins her over. That you have to watch it for yourself. I recomend seeing it with a lot of people if not at all.

Oh what a tangles web I created...
This is going to be a short post because it's impossible to type and knit at the same time. I got bored of watching movies and decided since it's cold to start knitting again. I'm making the ever cliché scarf. I tried to make a pattern my self and even though the pattern looked nice the yarns I chose refused to cooperate so I ripped it out. Granted all of this is for my LARP character because I'm super excited to play again in 3 weeks.
I should warn you though,. If you are starting out as a knitter, don't pay attention to the gauge. Just cast on as many stitches as you want the scarf wide and then go for it. Keep close attention to the number of stitched in each row and if you think you have to it and want to go faster or look away. DON'T You will drop a stitch and once you drop one it's a pain in the but to pick it back up. Which is less of a pain as ripping out several lines of knitting. So in short. Go slow, Pay attention, Don't get cocky.

LARP: Battles with Boffers
Well I guess the title is a misconception as I didn't fight any battles recently with boffer weapons. (PVC pipe covered in foam wrapped in duct tape) I did however play a cool game called Aftermath. It's a new LARP (Live Action Role Play) for me as I use to play a different style all together. This one is similar to the move Role-models. Of which I will speak of at a later date when I watch that movie again. Yes, again.
Anyway. I got to run around and pretend to be someone I'm not and heal people in ways I don't have the actual know how to do. Character creation is pretty hands on because you have to decide which paths to open. Once you have opened a path you can buy skills in that path or focus deeper into the path down other branches. And you are not limited to a single path or branch. If you want your skill tree to be a short bush do it. If you want to be a sequoia, DO IT! In the great words of Captain Planet "The choice is yours".
We played in Lake Murry State park in Oklahoma near the TX-OK boarder. So It was only a 4 hour drive from my base of Alva, OK to get there. A decent trip for a weekend event, but it was well worth it. The site, as mentioned in it's name, had a lake. A beautiful lake with cabins and a shower hall. You could tell by entering the cabins that during the summer these sites are rented out for youth camps as the graffiti plastered the walls and doors.
The game style was full immersion touch based. If you got hit by an uncalled weapon attack you took one damage. Simple enough, but dangerous in the post apocalyptic story. Even as a new character the lethality was similar to that of a well versed player. I enjoyed running around bringing the LOLs to people as the race I picked allowed me to troll all I wanted. Which is in great needs because of my oh so boring life style living in the middle of nowhere.
Anyway, that is all I care to divulge about the game as anything I tell here about my character and the other players read is fully admissible in game. I look forwards to trolling them again next month November 11-13th same place. Read above if you forgot.

Movie: Birds of Prey
"In the future, long after the Batman has driven himself into exile, his legacy lives on in the form of the Birds of Prey--Black Canary, Oracle, and the Huntress." (IMDb)
It's not a hidden secret that the Huntress is the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. It was disappointing to see Catwoman being played by a blonde actress, but I'll manage. The intro, cleverly done by Alfred, is terrible. I can't watch it. It fits the crime fighting genre with the fly through the "New Gotham City" and battle flashes of the heroes. I do not like the new spin on the characters. Except for Harley Quinn, who gets to be our super villain. A change from the normal space case she is lead out to be else where.
I'm not a fan of the new starting plot. I do not believe that Batman would stop his crimefighting because his sidekick got crippled and lover murdered. I am a disbeliever, granted I"m a Fan of Batman Beyond so I imagine Bruce as the old grumpy man still in his big mansion. Batman has his roust and wouldn't leave it. He's the Dark Knight, not a heartfelt sob story. I was disappointed to say the least.
If you ignore the bad starter plot and just watch it for the crime fighting female trio. Then you will love it. Except for when they bring in old heroes or villains. It's sad to see them destroy some of my favourites. I however am going to sit in delusion that this series is in a neighbouring universe and has no direct ties to my Dark Knight. On top of that The Gotham Girls shorts on each CD are well worth the money I spent.
The actresses are a nice pick for the roles they play but I don't think they realized the Huntress does not look like she could be the child of The Bat and The Cat. She's too naturaly tan to be the child to two Caucasians. Barbra Gordan's actress is also a good pick, wise and tender but with a strict side. The third girl, Dinah comes in as an innocent looking kid and grows, some of her acting is overdone but I'm not expecting much from this show.

Welcome to my madness.
I have quiet a bit of time on my hands because of the job I have. I expect to still have time on my hands even after this job. Because of this I have read, watched, played and heard a lot of things. I want to share my opinions. I'm not a well versed critic, I'm not trying to be a cynic, but I am a realist.
I'm 23, female and in a great relationship with an even greater guy. I read fantasy and Sci-fi books, along with dark fantasy romance novels. I watch all kinds of movies, except for horror/thriller. I play RPGs and strategy games both preferably from Japan. I love anime but prefer manga.
So this is a short tid bit about me. I will try to make updates each week. I will attempt to update on a regular basis but it depends on what I have done each day and if I have decided not to loaf about on the internet.
